Roles and Responsibilities – NIER Advisory Board

As a member of the Advisory Board of the National Institute for Engineering and Research (NIER), you will play a crucial role in shaping the vision, strategy, and academic standards of our conferences and initiatives . Your contributions will directly influence the quality of research dissemination, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the overall impact of our events.

1. Serve as a Keynote Speaker

Advisory Board members may be invited to deliver keynote addresses at NIER conferences, offering thought leadership aligned with their domain of expertise and current academic trends.

2. Support Program Development

• Contribute to the planning and development of the conference agenda.
• Help ensure the academic quality and thematic alignment of the sessions with NIER’s mission.
• Provide input on session topics, structure, and speaker selections.

3. Identify and Recommend Experts

• Nominate and invite reputed researchers, educators, and professionals to participate as keynote speakers, panelists, or session chairs.
• Ensure the inclusion of relevant, current topics and diverse perspectives.

4. Enhance Speaker and Attendee Engagement

• Collaborate with the organizing team to design interactive formats that enhance speaker-participant engagement.
• Encourage inclusive discussions and opportunities for networking among attendees.

5. Recommend Keynote Speakers

Assist in identifying and evaluating potential keynote speakers who are recognized leaders in their fields and who can contribute meaningfully to the conference objectives.

6. Monitor Progress and Timelines

• Support the coordination of key activities to ensure timelines are met.
• Provide guidance throughout the planning process and offer feedback where needed.
• Participate in pre-event reviews and advisory discussions.

7. Promote and Support Conference Outreach

• Collaborate with NIER's communication team to promote the event.
• Assist with outreach efforts such as reviewing publicity content, sharing materials within your network, and increasing awareness of the event.

8. Support Participation of Local Researchers

• Encourage participation from academic institutions across India.
• Facilitate opportunities for local researchers and scholars to present their work and engage in knowledge exchange.
• Promote equitable access and interdisciplinary collaboration.
