Plagiarism Policy – NIER

At the National Institute for Engineering and Research (NIER), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. To maintain the credibility of our conferences and associated publications, all submissions must reflect original research and proper scholarly conduct.

1. Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts will be thoroughly checked using reliable plagiarism detection tools. The evaluation is done to:

  • Ensure originality of content
  • Identify similarities with previously published work
  • Confirm appropriate referencing and attribution

Submissions that exceed the acceptable similarity threshold will not proceed for review or publication.

2. Manuscripts Failing Originality Criteria

  • Authors will be notified if their paper does not meet the required originality standards.
  • They will be allowed to revise and resubmit their work after addressing the concerns raised during the plagiarism check.

3. Post-Publication Review

In cases where plagiarism is detected after publication:

  • The paper will be temporarily removed from our platform for investigation.
  • If minor issues are identified, authors may be given an opportunity to revise the content with proper citations and the paper may be reinstated after editorial approval.
  • For serious or deliberate violations, the paper will be permanently removed from all platforms, and the matter may be reported to relevant indexing or academic authorities.

4. Consequences of Major Violations

If significant plagiarism or misrepresentation is confirmed:

  • The author(s) will be permanently barred from participating in future NIER events or submitting to affiliated journals.
  • The incident may be publicly recorded, and indexing databases will be informed.
  • Any certificates, proceedings, or publications associated with the paper will be withdrawn.

5. Self-Plagiarism

  • Reusing one’s own previously published work without proper citation is strictly prohibited.
  • Self-plagiarism will be treated with the same seriousness as copying from others' work.

6. Author Declaration

  • All authors must submit a signed Declaration of Originality at the time of manuscript submission.
  • It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure all references and citations are accurate, complete, and properly credited.

Ethical Commitment

NIER reserves the right to withdraw published content, cancel registrations, or take further action if ethical misconduct or policy violations are identified at any stage—before, during, or after the event.
